Radio San Lazaro

Good Morning, San Lazaro!Tune on in for breaking news, community updates, and insider specials from the city that won't stay dead!Radio San Lazaro is a cozy-ish, post-post-apocalyptic semi-anthology set in and around the titular and fictitious city, where everyone is doing their best to find a new normal between fighting of hordes of zombies. Each episode begins with a brief update from a morning or evening radio host, and proceeds with one of several main storylines, each framed as recordings or radio transmissions in the Greater San Lazaro Area. Rotate between the conversation, drama, and daily survival of the the fire lookouts (who now look out for shambling people-eaters too); the journeys of both former and current members of a new and unusual religious group; weekly updates from the city library's public broadcasting station; and more! Here in San Lazaro, we all keep our own secrets, we all bear each other's burdens, and we all turn on our radios for the weekly cornholing match. It's vital to keep some sense of normalcy while the undead husk of civilization shambles onward.

About
the Production

The concept of San Lazaro as a place originated in a conversation between Haven and their brother in 2019 about a homebrew TTRPG setting. It has obviously evolved considerably since then.
Radio San Lazaro was Haven's initial idea for an audio drama, but they considered it too big for a first project, and so shelved it for a while. Some basic concepts took shape throughout 2024, but things really picked up in the summer of 2025 when the writing and production teams were assembled. Through the end of that year and the beginning of the next, the show's Season 0 was cast and recorded.
Currently, the casting call for Season 1 has just closed, and the prologue is in post-production, expected to release in early spring of 2026.Although Radio San Lazaro, a volunteer project, was intended to be entirely free of monetization, we have decided to proceed with a fan support page on Patreon, and to run ads when possible. However, none of the creators will keep any money generated by your listenership and support. We will be donating all revenue we ever receive for our work on RSL to charities and initiatives that resist fascism and provide aid to at-risk communities.

About
the Creators

Haven Gay
Creative Director

Haven has been writing fiction since 2021, writing poetry since 2017, and doing audio production of one kind or another since 2012. Their debut audio drama was Clinical Space (currently ongoing), and they just can't stop themself from beginning new and more ambitious projects. Haven resides in Denver where they like to be found at a museum, botanic garden, or at home with the extraordinary Ani Rey.

Ani Rey has spent her whole life doing a little bit of everything, which eventually has lead her into the producer role for Radio San Lazaro. With over a decade of background in broadcast, writing, design, music production, and more, she tends to show up everywhere in the production. Really into bunnies lately.

When not working on these projects she is working on 500 other ones, including but not limited to; GMing (at least) 4 weekly TTRPG campaigns and playing in just as many, staring at empty documents, and writing 120,000+ words of fanfiction she will take to the grave. You can find more of Quinn via her Linktree!
